RIFC Draws the Draw Record Against Loudoun
Sometimes in soccer their are 0-0 draws that are absolute thrillers. Crunching tackles, incredible shots, acrobatic saves. Just all action, all the time. Folks, this wasn’t one of them.
We’ve now played 180 minutes of some real dull 0-0 football against Loudoun and I personally don’t care for it. While they’re a tough matchup, RIFC suffered in the attacking third feeling the impact of the missing Albert Dikwa, Noah Fuson and Jojea Kwizera significantly.
On the bright side, the team earned their first clean sheet in their past seven matches and expanded their unbeaten streak to four matches. At a time where points are at a premium, RIFC are tied for second in the East for most points in their last five matches.
Will this result in a home playoff match? Time will tell but the team is building momentum into what is hopefully a long playoff run.
To the content:
Matt Hands similarly does not enjoy sloppy 0-0 football and apparently a certain Irish striker. Click to find out! (Is that proper clickbait? Did I do it right?)
Timmy wasn’t able to give Noah a 7/10 this week so this automatically was one of his better player ratings in a while.
FQB was back on his bullshit (and vino) for a fun Quahog Corner on Monday. Come bring your takes live next Monday at 9pm on Twitter.
Matt and I did our best to break this one down after the match. Come for the mediocre soccer takes, stay for the giggle fits from the comment section.
Up the Tide!
