Back to the Eastern Conference Finals

RIFC makes it two Eastern Conference finals in two years with a 2-0 win over NCFC

CHICOOOOOOO

If you had told me in August after the Hartford match that The Tide would make it 2/2 in Eastern Conference Finals appearances, I would have had a hard time believing you.

Yes, the defense has been stellar but it just didn’t seem like there was nearly the goals in this team to compete with the very best. Fast forward three months and the stellar defense remains and the offense is doing enough to advance.

In what has been a wacky season, it was Albert Dikwa who had only scored one goal since July who broke the deadlock then added in the final blow with a long range shot from almost the halfway line. And the best part, we got to see a lot of his new signature celebration.

At this point in the season, it’s anyone’s ballgame. RIFC have gotten hot at just the right time. Can they make it 2/2 for finals appearances as well next weekend? We shall see.

Riptide Report

Hands drove all damn day and night, watched a match and still had the Riptide Report out before he went to bed. An absolute tour de force during this playoff run.

Player Ratings
