It’s been a weird week in RIFC-land.
After a lackluster 0-0 draw against H*rtford last Saturday, some poor post-match antics left a damper on the afternoon. The aftermath has led to sanctions against Defiance for this match. No Tifos, no smokes, no signs. In solidarity, La Banda is putting down the drums for this one as well.
On the same day that the sanctions were announced, RIFC had their Wave Tide Kit reveal event. The new kit is sharper in-person than it is on videos/photos. The waves are a nice touch, especially when combined with the RI License Plate font on the back.
All this leads up to a strange derby day. In a day that we should all be decked out in our beautiful white kits filling the stadium with the best atmosphere in the league, it’ll be… different. Lets hope the boys can make last week right with a strong performance on the pitch and that we can get the atmosphere back next week against Detroit.
