What a preposterous match. The rotated squads, the inaccurate lineup graphics and the EIGHT minute plus tribute video to start the match really set the tone early.

Rhode Island FC were uncharacteristically sloppy on defense, giving up four big chances on the night and two goals. Offensively, it was another mediocre performance where the team could only muster one goal off of a free kick (progress!!!).

The good news? Things broke our way - with Tampa keeping Detroit in eighth place, the Tide are rolling down to Charleston instead of Louisville for the first round of the playoffs.

With JJ Williams getting some minutes Friday night, can RIFC regain the momentum we saw just a few short weeks ago or is it just a fleeting memory?

Riptide Report

I try not to read the Riptide Report until after we do the pod as I want to come to my own conclusions on the match. Always nice when Hands and I see it the same exact way.
