RIFC host Loudoun United tonight at 7pm on Folklore night

Wednesday night, RIFC played an opponent that we know All Too Well. Winless in our previous three matches against DCFC, we all wanted to know, Is It Over Now?
Maxi Rodriguez, with his new Style, was able to put aside the Bad Blood with DCFC fans to bury one from the penalty spot. So far Maxi has a Love Story with clutch moments which was a much needed addition to this team. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to win this one even in my Wildest Dreams. Needless to say at this point, Maxi and DCFC are Never Getting Back Together.
Just three days later and Loudoun United rolls into town. Can RIFC continue to Shake Off their early season issues so that this doesn’t continue to be a Cruel Summer? Another three points will put some Daylight between RIFC and the playoff line.
Khano really has a Blank Space to work with now bringing in new additions in Busy Atkinson and Matthew Corcoran. I had some ideas on how this all fits together in the latest episode of Tide Talk but Don’t Blame Me if Khano goes in a different direction. There will be no Tear Drops On My Guitar as long as we get the win. Will we see an Anti-Hero emerge to save the season? Only time will tell.
All I know is that the three points tonight Belong With Me, you and all of the Rhode Island FC faithful. Folklore night, Look What You Made Me Do.

With two teams in desperate need for points, it was a Maxi Rodriguez goal from the penalty spot that allowed RIFC to keep all three points at Centreville Bank Stadium
