A struggling RIFC welcome a struggling Detroit City FC to Pawtucket tonight

We meet again.

With the despair of yet another loss against the Riverhounds in the rear view mirror, RIFC welcome Detroit City FC to Centreville Bank Stadium for the first time.

DCFC are another team like the Riverhounds that have seemed to have RIFC’s number. Zero wins, two losses and a draw with only one goal scored isn’t something that fills you with confidence heading into a match. The big caveat there being that our 2-0 loss early this season came after playing the majority of the match down a man after Frank Nodarse’s red card.

The good news? Detroit has been abysmal since their hot start to the season. Since June, they’ve amassed 4 points in six league games while conceding nine goals. For reference, we’ve amassed 5 points in eight during the same time span. We’ve got a real unstoppable force meets an immovable object situation on our hands.

Will we finally get the Maxi revenge game against DCFC? How long will the pretzel line be? Will one of these two teams score a goal? Tune in tomorrow night to find out!
