No rest for wicked good soccer

The Tide host Monterey Bay FC in their third home match in eight days

What a week here at Tide Talk HQ. In the midst of five matches in fifteen days, you truly forget the grind of this content life. Luckily, like the boys in Amber and Blue, Tide Talk is willing to suffer to make sure we keep the content machine churning.

Sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way

We’ll start today’s newsletter looking back at Wednesday night’s match against that lot from Foxborough. In a hard fought contest, The Tide can be proud of the way that they performed on the night. A few unlucky bounces went the Revs’ way and determined the outcome of the match.

While the squad’s effort was impressive, it only paled in comparison to the fans on the night. Seeing almost 10K people fill up Centreville Bank Stadium on a Wednesday night just four days after the sold out home opener was incredible.

“Insert something witty about Tides and Bays”

There’s no rest for the wicked or apparently Rhode Island FC. The boys host Monterey Bay FC in their third home match in just eight days. MBFC sit second in the west, just one point behind familiar faces, San Antonio.

While they started off hot winning four of their first five matches, Monterey has notched only one win in their past six. With a Rhode Island team desperate for points, hopefully they can take advantage of an out of form team.
