RIFC fall to 10 man H*rtford Athletic in Penalties but top cup group

In a game where Rhode Island FC should have had all the motivation in the world to really bury H*rtford Athletic, the Tide managed to create any chances of note while playing against only 10 men.

Giving up the tying goal with just minutes to spare, losing the PK shootout so that H*rtford stays in the competition and letting the exact same tactics they used last week throw you off makes for a really miserable time.

While the match was brutal, RIFC still topped the group and will host Birmhingham in the quarterfinals of this cup next month.
